Why AOA? 

The 'āoa, also known as 'ōrā, describes the banian tree in Tahitian (Ficus prolixa). This tree with multiple roots holds sacred significance

in the Polynesian mythology.

 It is with this strong and dedicated symbol that we present to you:

AOA — Polynesian Forests.

Our domain

The project takes place in Tahiti in the commune of Mataiea in the Mo’aroa Valley.
In a large catchment area of 1,000 ha,

250 ha are leased to the country and dedicated

to the biodiversity restoration project.
